Really, I mean Sam was in Lucifer's fucking cage for who knows how long and it probably really did a number on his psyche - I can totally understand why he'd be a little closed off and repressed in his feelings and emotions - at least until he can let it out; like Dean did in the Heaven and Hell episode. I'm looking forward to that ep. <3
They need time to grow and ease their way back into the relationship - same as it was in the pilot, actually. It'll take lots of time but I fully believe we'll see a little of the side of the Winchesters we're used to by the middle of the season.
