The first two or so seasons were so wrapped up in Sam and Dean's relationship with their dad. Everything they did had to do with their dad. It's like, the show about daddy issues.
I feel that that's really shifted in the last couple seasons - it's become more about their mom and Mary's lasting effect on their family, about her presence and then her absence. Hm. IDK what that means. I'll think about it as I walk home tonight, that's always a good time to think about Show.
