Hopefully you all saw my last post with the latest spoiler for S6 but, after watching the finale again [with many more tears, I might add] I've come up with a theory. Or more like: [livejournal.com profile] wutendeskind 's theory but I'm just grabbing onto it and running around squee'ing with it.

Beneath the cut there is referenced to the one major S6 spoiler we've got and the S5 finale.

Sooooooooooooo thanks to the ever so smart [livejournal.com profile] wutendeskind's comment on [livejournal.com profile] elvensapphire's entry I have now got a new theory for Season 6.

We now know there will be a time jump - and a major one as according to Jensen; a few years, in fact. What we do not know though is what exactly that entails and how that will enter into the sixth season.

Weelllllllll, it is now my humble opinion that the time jump has already happened - in the finale. It was just very subtle and not something I noticed the first time watching. But now I have hope that the first episode will be the reunion of Sam&Dean as their one word [and being] whole.

At the end we see Dean go to Lisa and make note of his clothes here:

It's a hunter green jacket, navy blue-ish [it's blue, just looks very dark in that pic] blazer jacket thing [whatever it is], then a black/blue shirt.

Then, cue them all sitting around the table and look at what Dean is wearing then:

It is what looks to be the same jacket, or one similar, but he is instead wearing a light grey shirt. I can't tell if there's another jacket in there somewhere. The caps I'm using are hard to tell, I know but I don't have anything better. Just watch that part!

So the change of clothes would indicate a different date MEAANNINNG that right there could have been the time jump. We really don't know how much time has passed. But Dean still looks really fucking depressed [as he should be] so we can also gather that he's not nearly close to coping with it and Lisa isnt comforting him as much as he probably lets her believe.

MEAAANINNG [sorry, love doing that] that when Sam looks in the window, years could have passed and it could be him coming to get Dean. This is just all assuming it's Sam of course - which it better as hell be.

Again, this is all speculation. I like to think the time jump has already occured and it's been however many years and Sam has just come back for him. [But that also poses the question of; has Sam been in hell all along? Or maybe with Bobby or Cas who then zapped him there...?]

Though it could very well be only a week in advance [from Dean hugging Lisa to that dinner shot with Sam] and somehow Sam got out but is still going to let Dean live his 'happy life' to come get him back later - which would then mean -cue time jump- so then we'll see them reunited in ep 1 of S6 - as the hiatus was said jump.

So what I'm saying tl;dr is that the time jump could have already occurred in the finale and S6 will open directly to Sam going for Dean [like a reversal of the Pilot] or that that dinner scene was only a few days/weeks ahead and Sam is just now back but going to keep away from Dean for awhile. [he could also maybe go to him but I doubt that].

I hope sommeee of that made sense, because it made a lot in my head.

Biggest questions are:

Was that really Sam?
Was that dinner scene the time jump or will there be a bigger one where Sam still hasn't seen Dean?
Will Sam be with Dean in the first episode?
WHY THE FUCK IS LISA STILL IN THIS SHOW?!

We do know now though that Cas and Bobby will be in the first two eps so I think that gives us clues that Sam is either going to be with Bobby and Cas is going to tell Dean that Sam's alive or maybe vice versa. I DUNNO! I'm seriously giving myself a headache with all this speculation. :p

Lovely theory! I have a feeling it was Sam under the lamp-post, of course he's been through a lot, so I could see that in his eyes. I'm sure it was a time jump, first off because there was time between the grave, Bobby's, and than getting to Lisa, that was time apart already. Then we have them at dinner, which seemed too business-as-usual for it to be right off the bat. So, I'm hoping you're right in all this! I don't think us fangirls can take much more of this! THE BOYS BEING IN SEPARATE WORLDS WHILE BEING MERE FEET APART! And as for Lisa, she's just a prop, she has no real relevance, but what she represents. Bobby and Cas!? Well, that's a good sign! *builds time machine*

Oh wow. That is such a good theory actually. And if that's true then I think Sam and Dean will reunite right away in the first ep.

I'm pretty sure Lisa will die either in the first or in the second ep of the new season. There's just no way she's sticking around ;D I'm horrible, but I also think Ben's dying. IDK I WANT TO KNOOOW.

Oh, hey!

I looked through the caps to check what Lisa was wearing in the two scenes, which of course were different, in case anyone questions the difference with Dean.

It's definitely possible. And it's slightly better than the thought of Sam avoiding Dean for a couple of years and letting him believe he's dead - on the other hand, if the time jump already happened than Sam was in hell of two years and I don't wanna know what that would do to him :(

Will Sam be with Dean in the first episode?
If not, I'm going to be pissed. Seriously, I want them back together right away! I like the idea of the first episode being kinda a mirror of the pilot, actually!
