Alright so I'm tired and I also managed to catch the flu so I'm feeling pretty out of it right now. Meaning I'm probably leaving some stuff out and forgetting things so please forgive me - but feel free to ask questions and I'll answer them to the best of my abilities. This was actually supposed to be posted last night but of course Youtube had to be going through maintenance. :p

And now go beneath the cutt for all the vids, review and maybe a few pics...

To start off we got there at around 4:00 or so and stood outside for an hour before they let us in at five. I met a really awesome chick and her mom whom we talked with outside then stood inside with while we waited for two hours.
Cameras weren't actually allowed in the venue but we managed to sneak one in. ;]

Anyways so after all that boring waiting we get into the actual concert area - which is bigger than the one I'd went to two years ago - and Kai [just gonna call her that as I don't want to give out her name] and I and her mother got a place to stand near the middle about 8 rows back. [They actually had VIP tickets but they chose to stay down with my dad and I.]

Kai and I talked with this other chick for a bit who said her dad used to work at the venue but then we got a spot closer up and left her.

More waiting blah blah and then finally the first band starts which was Drive A: I'll be completely honest and say I thought the singer was kinda cute - the music is definitely not my thing but yeah he was cute. Then things went to shit.

During the fourth or fifth song he came out in the crowd and started a fucking mosh pit which I was smack in the middle of with Kai. She got pushed back and when things all went to hell and crazy her mom managed to push us behind her and some other people so we didn't get hurt. I did get a nasty bruise on my ankle though. :|

Anyways after the guy went back up onstage everyone started crowding forward again and that's when we noticed someone was still on the ground and, whataya know - it was the girl we'd been talking to before the show that said he dad used to work there. She was on the ground for at least five minutes before the security was able to drag her up and out. Kai's mom found out that she dislocated her knee. :/

So yeah after that we pretty much yelled "FUCK YOU" to Drive A. :p That put a dampener on our moods until the second band, Dommin, came up.

I will admit I REALLY REALLY liked them and am deff going to be looking up their stuff. The bassist was kinda hot in his own Elvis sort of way, too. :p Anyways they had a great set and loved the whole thing with the roses.

By this time we were all dead tired of standing and all like "HIM come onnnn" lol but we still had to wait through We Are the Fallen which is the band of Evanescence and the singer Carly Smithson from AI. They were okay but the band was too loud and it was pretty much a replica of Evanescence. Carly was sorta hot though.

Then finaaallly HIM was to take the stage and they started playing some weird fifties sounding music which made us all go 0_______0 lol. Of course then the whole crowd started moving forward again and we got like five huge fucking tall guys in front of us and Kai and I couldnt see at all.

When the band took the stage there was so much screaming and then of course Ville comes out and it's like a mad house. He had on his beanie and pretty much what looked like the ensemble from 07 when they went on tour.

I'll just say that this is my second time seeing HIM live - first time was in October of 07 - and this show was sooo much better; the guys seemed really into it and Ville was talking a lot between songs and smiling a lot. He made an 'a okay' or whatever sign at someone that did it back to him which was sweet.

Anyways they started out with Like Saint Valentine and, tbh, most of the time I couldn't hear his voice throughout because were were all singing so loud. xDD

This could get to be a VERY long review so I'll just post up all the songs I recall them doing. [It was definitely shorter than 07 though, didn't play nearly as many songs, it seems.]

Andddddddddddddddd REBEL YEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLL! But more on that later. ;]

Kai and her mom left soon after they started to stand somewhere else so I was by myself and managed to make my way to the far left and closer so by the end of the show I was really close and had a good view of Ville the whole time. [As you can tell by vids, the later vids have better viewing.] And I almost had a fight happen right in front of me cause I guess this guy kept knocking into this dude's wife and he was screaming at him to back the fuck up and whatever the hell else he was saying. All I know is that I was like 0__0 -back away slowly- lol

I got most of the banter Ville did between songs and they're in the vids below. Some of it is hard to make out with the screams and I apologize. :p There's one part where he was talking about having some sort of place beneath him where chicks could go and look up at them - and he was saying something about they could look at the tits to which he then said he has always been more of an assman. :p
I also remember him saying something about wishing there was something onstage he could piss in but I may be mistaken.

Funniest part is when he got stuff thrown at him [can't remember what he said but it was hilarious xD] and when he was looking at the setlist and talking about never being able to remember what they're doing.

BEST banter is when he started singing "Get outta my dreams and into my car" [which he thought was by one band but then said "No it's Little Ritchie[?]" I didn't catch all that.] So then the band started playing along and he sang a bit of that song. xDDD [Also got that on one of the vids.]

I'll admit when they did Funeral of Hearts I did NOT think that was their last song - it seemed so short! But Ville did a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig finish then thanked us and left. The guys did their finishing stuff and left too.

Cue screaming.

We chanted everything from "One more song" to "HIM" to something else I can't remember [xD] for about five minutes then FINALLY Mige and Linde came back out. I about pissed my pants. As soon as they came back out I turned my camera back on so you can hear my spastic girly screams. :p

Ville came back out and picked up his microphone and went "Boo!" haha. [I forgot to mention that earlier on in the show some people started yelling for Rebel Yell to which he said something about that being back in 2004 so they can't do it now. Again I got that on video]

He restated the thing about 04 and then dedicated the song to the guy near me that was screaming for it.

Thus began Rebel Yell and my life was complete. xD
Seriously though, my dream HIM concert was for them to do that song and/or an encore and I got fucking BOTH! WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!

It sounded amazing, just as good as the one back in '91, and EVERYONE was singing.
Afterwards Ville again thanked us and said we were great and left with the band.

End of the most amazing show eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer.

I ended up buying a black tanktop with HIM on it in sparkly purple and an awesome pretty poster with the venue and date on it. [I may take and post a pic later.]

And now for the vids portion:

I got full video for The Kiss of Dawn, Disarm Me, Bleed Well, The Funeral of Hearts and Rebel Yell along with all between songs banter [or rather, most of it.] When I wasn't doing vids I was either watching the show or snapping a few pics so DON'T JUDGE ME FOR WHAT SONGS I DID OR DID NOT FILM. :p
They turned out waaaaaaaaay better than the few years ago ones when you couldn't even make out ANYTHING and I really don't understand why they're so much better.

There is a lot of shakiness at times and screaming and singing and sometimes the sound goes a bit quieter but overall I'd say they're pretty damn good. And pleeaaaaaseee ignore my terrible screaming in Rebel Yell. lmao
